IsThisBookForMe…what does that mean anyway? Why should I read your blog?
Ask yourself, how many times do you pick up a book and ask yourself “is this book for me?” How many times do you read the description or download a sample and then sit there and still question as to whether the book is really for you? How many reviews can you read before you decide to take a chance and buy, borrow or download that book? That’s the question I want to help answer for you.
Here’s a little about me. I’m a self-admitted book addict. I think my loved ones are wondering if there is such a thing as a Readers Anonymous meeting. I’m just waiting for them to stage an intervention! I had books crammed onto every available shelf and taking up space in closets and cupboards. I regularly max out my limit of library books. I have been known to get lost in book stores for hours only to be found sitting in the middle of an aisle, reading a found treasure. With the advent of e-readers and downloadable books, I quickly filled my Kindle to the point where I couldn’t remember what I wanted to read next or why I got that book in the first place!! I’ve been lucky enough to receive a few ARC’s through both Goodreads and NetGalley. I wanted to have a place where I could post my reviews and share my thoughts on books so others could decide if that book is for them.
Most of the books I read are e-books but I do not shun the good, old-fashioned book. I still love the smell of books and will still regularly go to bookstores both big and small. Sometimes I’m able to read a book quickly, sometimes it takes me awhile. I have a regular, full-time job, I am going to school full-time and my fiance and children foolishly expect to see me from time to time.
